PHENYL PHOSPHATE DISODIUM SALT Usage And Synthesis

Uses	Reagent in the testing of milk for proper pasteurization and for the presence of unpasteurized milk.
Uses	Phenyl phosphate disodium salt is used in phosphatase determinations. It is also used as reagent in chemical research.
Purification Methods	Dissolve it in a minimum amount of met-hanol, filtering off any insoluble residue of inorganic phosphate, then precipitate it by adding an equal volume of Et2O. Wash the solid with Et2O and dry it in a vacuum [Tsuboi Biochim Biophys Acta 8 173 1952]. [Beilstein 6 IV 708.]
